Come fly with us… Birmingham 2020

Please note that the launch of this concert has been delayed for the foreseeable future. We very much hope to be able to launch this concert in the autumn term, with rehearsals beginning in September or October for a concert in December or January. In the meantime, please view our Espressivo@home page for a summer singing project.

Come on an amazing round the world journey with us as we fly off into the blue in our newest concert… Having had your passports stamped and your boarding pass checked we will depart for a musical adventure across the globe. Leaving the UK far behind us we will head for Paris (Hunchback of Notre Dame), Russia (From Russia with love, Back in the USSR) and then move onto the more exotic lands of Africa and Persia (Aladdin) with whiffs of spices, perfumes, and maybe a magic carpet ride! From Persia we cross to the America. On a visit to Argentina we meet Peron, Eva and Che (High flying, adored), and then we move northwards to the United States with a gentle arrival on the Eastern seaboard (California dreaming) before heading west to Kansas – not for the Wizard of Oz but to watch the work of the Wichita lineman. From there we continue Eastwards to Philadelphia (Streets of Philadelphia) and then onto our final stop in the United States – the hustle and bustle of New York. On leaving New York we will head for Saigon amidst the horror of the Vietnam war (Sun and Moon, Last night of the world) before returning home to the UK for a more sedate tour around the British Isles (Folk song suite), finally returning to the London of Charles Dickens (Oliver! medley).

Sign up for your tickets for this epic adventure using the form below, or email us to inform us of your intention to take part so that we can make sure music and CDs are available for you at the launch.
